Training Contracts

Our training programme has a practical, hands-on emphasis. Throughout the two years you will benefit from highly focused personal training. In turn, each element of the training interlocks so that you can tailor a career path and build valuable professional experience.

Our Hong Kong office has only a small number of trainees at any one time, which ensures the personal nature of the training and helps individual trainees maintain a focus on their preferred career path.

As a Hong Kong trainee you will have full access to secretaries, professional support lawyers, library assistance, our research tools and other technical support, just as our lawyers do.

The same people who take the decision to recruit you remain actively involved in your development during your training contract. They monitor your progress to ensure your overall experience – the relevance, variety and volume of work as well as training – is valuable and worthwhile.

We have numerous in-house courses specifically designed for trainees. We also run specialist seminars on law and client industry sectors, as well as soft skills training workshops, which you are encouraged to attend.

Throughout your two years as a trainee you will see that each aspect of the program interacts to create a solid foundation for your career. From beginning to end and beyond, the focus is on you as an individual.

The application period for our 2017 July Internship and 2019 Trainee Solicitor programs has closed. We are reviewing the applications submitted and will provide candidates with an update as soon as there is news.
